Welcome to our new website. 

In 2001 the Township of Derby, Keppel and Sarawak, including the Village of Shallow Lake, were amalgamated into the new Township of Georgian Bluffs. The name Georgian Bluffs was created through a competive process, resident Brock Cole provided the winning choice.

We are a proud partner in the County of Grey.

In February 2008 Council adopted its first strategic plan.  Among the many important actions in the plan is better communication with our ratepayers, business, and community partners. Our new website has been designed to provide up-to-date, encourage accessibility and provide easier browsing capabilities.

Principles around environment, people and accountability help guide the Township’s actions.  Since adopting the strategic plan considerable progress has been made in waste management, administration and governance.  Waste management, Water systems, Roads and Land use show considerable progress.

Departments / Services

The Township of Georgian Bluffs provides a variety of services to area residents.  Examples include roadside waste pick-up, planning, building inspection, by-law enforcement, financial management, emergency services, facilities, and road maintenance.  Many services are offered in partnership with other municipalities including library, recreation, and household hazardous waste.  The municipality is responsible for five water systems plus main extensions from adjacent municipalities.  Click on the above "Department Services" link to find out more. about our services.
