Township of Georgian Bluffs

Close to home... far from ordinary!

Will you be discovering our quiet back roads, fresh air and endless opportunities to explore our great outdoors? Or maybe you’ll come across one of our heritage sites or local art studios.

Township of Georgian BluffsJust a few hours from major Ontario cities, Georgian Bluffs is a collection of communities stretching north from Chatsworth to just south of Wiarton.
Copper Kettle, Cobble Beach, Slough of Despond, Big Bay, Oxenden, Balmy Beach… these are just some of the names that paint a picture of the Georgian Bluffs canvas along the Georgian Bay Coastal Route.

Hear the waterfalls roar in the spring as winter snow melts , feel the cool breeze off Georgian Bay on a hot summer's night, smell the crisp fall winds and taste the cold winter air as snowflakes drift down.

So come and experience the Bluffs. We're as close as this weekend!

The Townships of Derby, Keppel and Sarawak amalgamated on January 1st, 2001 to become the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

The Township borders  the Township of Chatsworth , the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie, Town of South Bruce Peninsula, and the City of Owen Sound , while the Georgian Bay shoreline forms the Township's northerly limits.

Big BayThe Township of Georgian Bluffs is located in northwest Grey County occupying just over 600 square kilometers of land area.  The Township sits between the Village of Chatsworth and the Town of Wiarton east of Highway 6 and the Grey Bruce Line.  Georgian Bluffs represents about 13% of the total land area of Grey County.
