Georgian Bluffs STRONG

Strong is defined as firm, tenacious, passionate, energetic, proficient, reliable, and effective.

Strong people with strength of character can make change and influence the world around them. We are inspired by the strength original inhabitants and settlers demonstrated building lives in our area challenged by stony soils, steep cliffs, and great distances. Yet they were able to use the resources that surrounded them.

Georgian Bluffs is blessed with natural features and opportunities that demonstrate the strength and power of nature. The majestic Niagara Escarpment and the cool clear water of Georgian Bay attest to this. The Township is firm, passionate, energetic, and proficient maintaining and managing both natural and built infrastructure.

As a result Council and staff have committed to a program of strength and passion to reward on-going savings and wise and responsible use of all tax dollars. In our daily work we will strive for reliable, proficient and outstanding customer service and seek efficiency and savings in our operations.

Where ideas for savings and efficiencies are identified by any person within the organization, our program of strength will provide for the prompt review, evaluation, response, and implementation of that idea. A small Committee lead by the Mayor will consider all ideas brought forward and work toward implementation from Council through to the front lines.

Each year savings and efficiencies identified through our program will be rewarded. A modest investment will be made in our STRONG Program which will include the Township logo slashed in the lower right corner with the word STRONG.

The program will be funded from the savings generated by new ideas with the goal of providing the best service possible at the most responsible cost possible.

The STRONG program will be championed subtly by the organization and will be lean and responsive to change and innovation. Rewards will be modest and reflect the character of the community. Rewards might take the form of gift certificates from local businesses or artists. Rewards for the highest cost savings ideas will be less modest but will encourage business activity in the local economy.
