Welcome to the Georgian Bluffs website where you can find a little more information about your elected representatives. My day job is that I am a sales representative for Parmalat Dairy selling dairy products. I became involved in municipal politics in 1991 as a councillor with the former Derby township, and I enjoy talking to ratepayers about current issues as well as looking to the future for issues that Georgian Bluffs maybe involved with. Please feel free to call me at anytime if you have concerns on decisions that we have made or if their are specific issues that you would like to discuss.

It is a pleasure to serve as your deputy-mayor for our great municipality of Georgian Bluffs.

I have owned and operated a commercial-industrial business for the past 28 years in the former Township of Sarawak, and was elected to Sarawak Council in 1991. I am also the Chair for the Transportation Committee, and I look forward to speaking to ratepayers about road concerns and all other issues.

With 12 years experience as a Councilor in Keppel Township and Georgian Bluffs, and a Sales Representative for Royal Lepage RCR, I bring many years of political and business experience to this role. I am currently serving on the Township's Finance Committee, Recreation and Property Committee as well as the City of Owen Sound Joint Recreation and Parks Committee and the Joint Tourism Advisory Committee. I am Chair of the Georgian Bluffs Cemeteries Board and have chaired a number of Committees in Georgian Bluffs and Keppel Township. My husband Verle and I have lived in Georgian Bluffs for over 30 years. My community involvement includes membership in the Kemble and District Lions Club and Verle and I are members of the Sydenham Sportsmen Association. I am pleased to discuss Township issues with our ratepayers and appreciate this opportunity to serve the public.

As a long-time resident of the north-western corner of the township, I was delighted to have been elected to Council in 2006. My former municipal experience, serving three terms on the City of London Council, and knowledge; having studied government at University, and reporting Keppel Council news for the Wiarton Echo, have made my entry into local politics relatively smooth, and very interesting. I am currently Chair of the Finance Committee and a member of the Environmental Committee. I represent you on the Boards of the Grey Sauble Conservation Authority and the Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library. I was elected to represent you and assist you with any questions or problems concerning government, especially municipal government. I am at your service.

Having served on Keppel Township Council for 18 years and farmed the land for 50 years, I am well aware of the many issues facing our residents. I have served on Georgian Bluffs Council since 2001, and was re-elected in 2006. I am currently serving on the Township's Environment Committee and Transportation Committee as well as the Kilsyth Community Board. If you want to talk about Township business give me a call.

Councilor Ryan Thompson

A long time resident of the north end of the former Keppel Township, I was appointed to Georgian Bluffs Council in 2005 following the departure of the former Mayor and I was elected in 2006. My professional, political and sporting experience allows me to deal with many issues affecting our residents. I am currently serving on the Township's Transportation Committee, Recreation and Property Committee as well as the Kemble Arena Board. If you would like to contact me on issues of concern to you, it would be my pleasure to be of service to you.
