Georgian Bluffs participates in the Grey Bruce Regional Economic Development Partnership. Formed in 2009 the partnership markets the region to a manufacturing, agricultural, retail, tourism, energy and envrionment sectors.
The Township strategy supports borderless tourism and economic development on the basis that growth in the region is of benefit to all area municipalities. The long term sustainability of the Wiarton Keppel Airport as an economic development and tourism initiative is important to Georgian Bluffs.
Tourism marketing initiatives such as promoting Grey Roots, the Bruce Trail, sport tourism, special events, tours and other authentic activities are supported. Agricultural business, home industry, and commercial service industries that encourage growth in the local economy are encouraged. A sustainable aggregate industry that considers community interests, local heritage and environmental impacts is important to the Township.
